When hearing and sight fail, the human need for communication remains intact. Feelings of devastation and denial give way to the possibility of overcoming obstacles. The Center for Deaf-Blind Persons serves those who have some degree of loss in both hearing and vision. We understand the struggles confronting these individuals and their families. Through our wide array of services, people achieve as much independence as possible.
Since 1985, the Center for the Deaf-Blind Persons has been specializing in services for persons who are totally deaf and blind or who have varying degrees of the dual sensory loss of hearing and vision. Our mission is to provide services needed to minimize the devastating effects of a combined vision and hearing loss upon the individual and family. The Center offers the support and skills training needed to assist clients to live independent productive lives.
