Leisure
Skills
The Leisure Skills Program provides opportunities for creative expression and
productive ways to use the hours that may formerly have been spent watching
television or listening to the radio.
Participation in leisure skills training may improve concentration,
coordination, and tactile sensitivity, the benefits of which are
evident in all other areas of rehabilitation.
A few popular adaptive leisure activities include:
·
Making tactile holiday creations
·
Weaving and other yarn arts
·
Sculpting
·
Gardening
·
Basketry
